Basilica of Saint Martin de Tours

12:47 PM

We decided to explore our town and ended up at Basilica of Saint Martin of Tours located at Taal, Batangas. It is considered to be the largest church in the Philippines and in Asia. The church was old and rustic  yet impeccably magnificent. I never knew that a church like this was just nearby.  "Explore your own city or country first before other places" - that's what I learned from our trip.

The facade of the church is decorated with classical column. While the interior of the church are filled with wall paintings that are depicted as three dimensional patterns.

There is a small building beside the church that has an interior of old houses in the Philippines, influenced by the Spanish culture. The symmetrical square windows usually made from capiz shell and the wooden "balustre" are the usual accent during those era.

There is also a mini church inside the building, the painting in the altar is breathtaking.

My outfit during this trip has a concept of grid pattern all over it. I actually have profess my love for grid pattern in my older post.

chiffon high waist A- line short pleated skirt middle-skirt sundress from DRESSGAL. My kicks are from Primadonna. This is my take on grid monochrome patterns, I hope you like it.
