National Museum of the Philippines

9:10 PM

Today will be sharing the pictures that I took from the National Museum of the PhilippinesThe museum's main goal is to preserve and protect the National Cultural Treasures of the Philippines and share the artistic beauty of our nation. It houses a wide variety of easel paintings, sculptures, icons, sketches, and mixed media from well known artist in the Philippine that span from the 18th century to the late 21st century. Most of the art works depicts religious themes, salon paintings, country side scenery, landscape, still life, pre-modernism, atrocities brought by the war, modernism, people's art, protest art, social realism and many more.

The most picturesque spot in the museum is this stairs, it looks so majestic from above.
I love this picture I just took it by chance, I actually don't even know if the two people in the picture are couples but they seem like it, don't they :)

The well known painting of Juan Luna known as "Spoliarium" can be seen near the entrance. It depicts the happening in the basement of Colosseum were the fallen gladiators are renounced from their worldly possession while their loved ones remorse for their deaths. This is the largest painting in the Philippines and it is the most valuable oil-in-canvas done by the painter.

Every room of the museum changes colors, it so quirky and cute. The are a lot of security in each room so its important to be extra careful when taking pictures and examining the paintings. To get great shoots be sure to visit it during weekdays and not on weekends in order to avoid many people. There is not entrance fee, you can visit any times you want.

I'd like to shout out the top, choker and bag that I used in these photo are from the online shop called Newchic. I adore their products, if you found it stylish and cute be sure to visit their site.

Thank you for visiting!
Till next time.
