TBILISI, GEORGIA | DAY TRIP 03

3:32 PM

Enguri Dam
The first destination was a long drive, we stopped at the Enguri Dam to look closely at the mountains and river of the harmonious scenery. The view was marvelous and breathtaking, the temperature was really cold at that time. The mountains were foggy and calming to the eyes.

Ananuri Castle
Ananuri Castle had an escape tunnel leading to the lake that was built within the castle, we explored the passage but sadly it is closed halfway for safety purposes. But it was a great experience to see it in reality.

One of my sisters climbed the tower, since the passage was steep and quite high, I was too scared to try. She said the view at the top was stunning. I just took some photos instead and explored the grounds more.

The temperature is very different from the inside and outside of the church. The thick walls of the church were really well built to protect the people from inside and the atmosphere was very sacred.

We tried one of their traditional clothes outside the castle, the costumes were heavy and thick, it was a fun experience to try their culture. I bought a small dagger as a souvenir because I am actually a fan of the medieval periods. We stopped by the lake that was a rafting spot for the local and tourist too. We took photos and ate snacks.

We stopped at another tourist spot with a stunning view of the mountains, it was really cold and foggy. We took a lot of photos.

Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument
We went to the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument, it was very cold because every time we talked there would be a fog. The location of the place was at the high ground and very far from the city. The structure of the monument was spectacularly large. The graphics were stunning and symbolic.

We ate a lot of delicious chimney cake. This is one of my favorite street foods from Georgia. We also bought many honeys because it was cheap and fresh. It is locally harvested. We bought a lot of delicious royal jelly.

The last spot that we visited was a mountain view with waterfalls. It was one of the hidden places that not many tourists know. A great spot to end the tour for the day.

The place was very relaxing, serene and quiet.  Surrounded by beautiful mountains and a refreshing breeze of the winds.

Thank you for visiting!
